GUESS WHO’S BACK???? YAYYYY!!!!!!
So if you didn’t know: my site got hacked september 14th by some people who obviously need a dayjob. They deleted EVERYTHING. Now I mean everything! Even my backups backup…
Thankfully, I had a backup saved with all my files…but it’s from last month. So that awesome blog about how much walmart sucks: it’s gone. Eh. Oh well. I can always write another one that’s even better :) I’d also like to give a huge shoutout to my new host Thia from Hybrid Genesis for her patience with me, hahaha. After I got hacked she was the first person who was there for me. She’s too wonderful <3
Because of all my schoolwork and outside work, I wasn’t able to really sit and take time to get everything back together. It took me many many hours to get the hang of my MYSQL database but I’m very happy to say I’ve finally got my backup running. YAYYYYY!!!!! All my files are back, BUT the images are not. I have them on my computer, I just need to upload them. BUT, I might just present some new images for you all. Spice up the site a bit.
Unfortunately my backup is from last month so I have a lot of work to make up. BUT IM HAPPY TO BE BACK UP!!!! YAYAYAYA!!! Too much work to do, but again, it’s good to be back.
as usual, please please add me on twitter because I’ll be posting updates on the site and other things throughout the course of this horrible situation. yeah…and the work has only just begun. BUT WHO ELSE IS WITH ME!!?!?!????????

I haven’t heard back from my host, which means unfortunately I am still blocked from both my sites at home. For like, the 4-5th day. Whatever. I’m losing count. Can someone ask Waldo where my host is? Maybe he knows. Or Carmen Sandiego.
This whole situation makes it difficult to work, since most of the work I do IS at my house. So now instead of coding my site, I’m watching S Club 7 or The Bachelorette on ABC. See what this has done to me? It’s ruined me. By the time my IP gets back I’ll be 400 pounds heavier and unable to spell CHIKENZ. Photoshop will just be another nice cute blue box on the bottom of my now half eaten macbook pro that smells like it’s been used by the Adams family.
It’s kind of funny since the first time I actually want to work on the sites is when my host blocks me from accessing them. Thankfully for my neighbors [from hell], I’m not an internet connection thief – although I have glanced at this idea after this has all unraveled. I would be a thief if it meant being able to access my site like a normal person. I would steal all the ethernet I could, all the cookies and caches…I’d take it all. Just for one chance..with my site…oh this sounds like a creepy e-harmony commercial. EH.
I don’t know where in the world my hosts are and why they aren’t getting back to my emails about this issue. Honestly, I am the last person who wants to smack talk their host because overall they’ve been so great to me – but this is right next to Lindsay Lohan staying out of jail – kind of ridiculous. I have been without access to my portfolio site which I’ve been MEANING to get coded and finished BY early september – and this is not helping at all. Again, HOPEFULLY my host will come through and everything will get settled. By the end of this year. Or before I have kids, get old, die, etc. etc.
ANYWAYS, if my host fails to get back to me I will have to make the hard decision of moving hosts which means = headache. But I will do it if I must.
I am starting my photography business soon PLUS launching a new site design of swimchick, and my portfolio site. I will dedicate myself to putting up NEW TUTORIALS and resources so stick around because things are just starting :) I can’t wait!!! See you all.
Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you guys know that I’m accessing my site via a proxy right now because I was locked out of the site due to incorrect password guessing. So when I try to use MY internet to get on the site and work on it – it doesn’t show up for me.
I forgot my password for my portfolio site and after trying to guess it about 3 times out of nowhere it said that my server wasn’t responding. Then I realized that it locked out my IP address for security reasons. I’ve been TRYING to get my host to get my IP address released but they have not responded to me. It’s been about 3-4 days and quite frankly it’s getting kind of ridiculous because I’ve felt like a stalker with all my emails and tweets, phone calls, etc. I’ve been with my host for 6 years now and I’ve never had any sort of issue with them up until now – having to wait this long to get my IP released…yeah. It’s annoying. I have things to do on here. I’m praying that the issue of getting back to me was nothing more than an oversight and that my host will be able to get things together quickly.
Anyway HOPEFULLY by tonight my site will be back on my internet…if not I’ll probably be shopping around for a new host that is readily available for its hostees.
I’m trying to stay as patient as possible.
