Autobiography
I'm Jessica, the girl that was given the middle name Rodina, born September 25th, 1989 in Detroit, Michigan. Dang, that was a lot of commas. In a family of 6 siblings, I'm third oldest, first smartest. Didn't make sense? Well you know it sounded cool. I live in Michigan with my sometimes cool, sometimes annoying family. Both my parents were born and raised in Lebanon, which makes me full Lebanese. I like to think I speak fluent arabic, but I'm kinda on the borderline. If you could tell or not, I'm also a Muslim.
You call them siblings, I call em monsters. My family has quite the characters. Melissa and Samantha, the two oldest twins in the family who are both 21. Melissa and I get along just fine, while Sam and I have both have a criminal history. After I came along my brother Ali was born 3 years later. I still see Ali as a little kid, my best friend who used to play videogames with me all day and help me cheat in diddy kong racing. Right now he's 16 with really hairy legs, and he kinda makes fun of me for not being able to get past the first 10 minutes of Zelda, windwaker. He kinda acts like he's big stuff now, so important - you know the typical muscular high school guy, but in reality the only big decision he's had to make is when he feels like flushing the toilet. The last set of twins, Hassan and Lisa, came a few years later. They're 13, and hitting puberty hard - kinda like a brick wall.
I've lived in Michigan most of my life, but for a brief period of 6 months in 2000, lived in Lebanon. After returning from Lebanon, I left my private school and was stuck in a public school for the 7th grade. For not knowing many people, I made the most of middle school. I joined my first sport which was swimming, and even continued to make the volleyball team and run track. After middle school I went to High School where I gave up my passion for swimming (and those bathing suits I clearly wasn't allowed to wear) and joined tennis. The two years of Junior Varsity tennis consisted of some of the best days of my life. I made varsity my junior year, playing number 2 singles.
I have a strong personality, and shiny hair. My sentences are sometimes completely random, nonsensical, cut up, out of place - but I write them anyway. I'm pretty friendly to those who treat me like a human being, but if you piss me off, you won't like me too much. I'm not the type to hold grudges, but I won't never forget things completely. I'm always cracking jokes, whether I'm at a doctors office or in an airplane, I won't shutup until I've made you laugh. In a new atmosphere, I'm quite shy but I eventually adapt and become my strange old self. I find myself to be a good listener and I like helping people. Hot Hot Heat, The Stills, Ashlee Simpson and The Killers are some of my musical obsessions, and Disney movies are my favorites. Speaking of movies, any film that has included or been created by Hayao Miyazaki or Isao Takahata has most likely been watched by me. I'm very facinated with Japanese culture and I love watching japanese anime and even foreign movies. Movies like "The Diving Bell" [french] and "Zatch Bell" [japanese] have changed my mind about subtitles, I've grown to like them.
My mother finds it strange that I'm learning french, instead of learning to read and write in arabic again [I forgot over time]. I assure her that as long as I can tell her I LOVE YOU in arabic, everything should be A-OK. Ma mere, je t'aime tellement :D
After graduating high school I went to a community college to do my pre-reqs, then transfered over to a new college for the fall semester of 2008. Currently I'm at a private arts college, getting my bachelors in Graphic Design. I haven't chosen my minor, but I'm thinking that it might be photography. I love taking pictures with fancy cameras. In the future I would like to work overseas with graphic design or maybe even open up my own design business. I would like to visit Lebanon [maybe a billion more times], Japan, Australia, Italy, Dubai, Paris...the list is endless.

Mona Lisa - My favorite 11 year old cousin from Tennessee. She's just crazy.
Katherine/Kat - My best friend and partner in crime since 2003. Well, I'm the one who starts the trouble - but she encourages me!
Sumaiya - One of my great friends who puts up with my silly antics and keeps me in check online, and offline. Somehow has the answer to everything....no seriously, she does.
Dislikes
- When people tell me to 'Shut up' (whether they're joking or not)
- Being told to "Shhh"
- When people sing along to songs in the car
- Excessive Swearing
- People who wear real fur
- The sound when people crack their fingers
- When people bother me while I'm listening to music
- Intentionally being woken up in the morning for something stupid

- I have a pink nintendo DS.
- I have glasses and contacts. My vision is horrible.
- I think I've acquired an allergy towards raw carrots and lettuce.
- I love playing video games. My favorites are Zelda.
- I sleep on a jigglypuff pillow.
- I have only one (small) dimple on my left cheek.
- My favorite composer is Yann Tiersen.
- I've been nicknamed Turkey, Ebola, Skittles, Smurf and "Youtube".
- I used to have 2 mice, 8 cats (most were kittens), a rabbit, and a few birds.
- I have a scar on my forehead (not very visible) when I fell off a mattress and hit the metal side of the bed around the age of 3.
- When I was younger I fell into a thorn bush.
- My favorite movie of all time is Howls Moving Castle. Followed by Beauty and the Beast.
- I was nicknamed turkey during my JV tennis season because my coach said I looked like one.
- I know how to speak Arabic, but not fluently.
- I use to be able to read/write Arabic but I forgot it over time.
- I won my tennis teams (JV) MVP award for the best singles record.
- My favorite gymnast is Nadia Comaneci.
- I want to watch most scary movies but I'm too scared to actually watch them.
- My favorite actress is Mandy Moore. Followed by Rachel McAdams.
- I hate wearing what someone else is wearing at school.
- I like turning on the TV. Even when I don't watch it. I just like having it on.
- My worst enemy is my sister.
- I have really long eyelashes.
- I hate drooping earlobes. I think they are disgusting.
- I love learning about US history.
- I'm scared of the ocean.
- My favorite cereal is Lucky Charms.
- I feel extremely uncomfortable while riding in dirty cars.
