Advanced Picture 20

Learn to make this transition:

First we want to add some blending effects to the sides of the picture, to make it look more interesting. Duplicate your picture then go to Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling. This is an easier way of blending several images around your image, and is a less advanced alternative to blending on your own with the selection tool and/or eraser.

Now match your settings to mine:

This causes the image to become repeated at the sides, but since we don't want it to be too strong, we're only selecting a few sides of the image to be repeated. Press okay.

Now we can begin colorizing and adding effects to our picture. Duplicate your image and set it to Overlay at 36%.
Go to Layers > New Adjustment Layers > Hue/Saturation/Lightness

Match your settings to mine:

Set this layer to Luminance (L) at 46%.

Duplicate your Hue/Saturation/Lightness layer.
Instead this time set it to Soft Light at 38%.

Your layer palette and image should now look like this:

Make a new raster layer. Fill it with the color #81F6F7 and set the layer to Soft Light at 38%.
Make a new raster layer. Fill it with the color #FC428C and set it to Lighten at 100%.

Now duplicate the base of the blended picture back in step one (this should be your second layer) and drag it to the top. Set that to Saturation (L)

Now go to Layers > New Adjustment Layers > Brightness/Contrast

Match your settings to mine:

Make a new raster layer. Fill it with the color #486EFC and set it to Lighten at 22%.

Duplicate the base of the blended picture back in step one (this should be your second layer) and drag it to the top. Now go to Effects > Texture Effects > Weave and match your settings to mine:

Set this layer to Burn at 62% and you're all done!

You can also download this effect as a script here! (it's the one using the same picture as this tutorial)
