Learn the Transition
Steps
- Duplicate your current layer. Then go to Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Automatic Saturation Enhancement and match your settings to mine:
Name the layer "FIRSTSTEP" - Now after you've done that, set the layer you just saturated to Screen. Your picture look more contrasted and brightened.

- Make a new raster layer and fill it with the color #FDD23B. Set the layer to Multiply at 18%.
- Make a new raster layer and fill it with the color #E71C01. Set the layer to Lighten at 46%.
- Make a new raster layer and fill it with the color #FF1D82. Set the layer to Lighten at 36%.
- Your picture should now look similiar to this:

- Now go back to the first layer named "FIRSTSTEP" that you enhanced back in step 1 and duplicate it. Then drag it to the top of all the layers. Change it's layer from Screen to Color to 22% opacity. If you're confused, your layer palette should now look like this:

- While staying on the "COPYOF FIRST STEP" layer, go to Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur and match your settings to mine:
In adding a blur, the coloring becomes smooth and not so harsh and pixeled out. - Make a new raster layer and fill it with the color #0A306A. Set the layer to Dodge at 56%.
- Make a new raster layer and fill it with the color #FEE936. Set the layer to Darken at 14%.
- Make a new raster layer and fill it with the color #81E2F7. Set the layer to Overlay at 18%.
- Now we need to add some more color to the picture. Go to Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation/Lightness and match your settings to mine:
