First, you need to open a 480x220 blank document (White background). Now take your text tool and write anything you want. Im using the font IMPACT with the color #1BACFF. My font size is set to 72. Make sure your font size is big =)
Just match your settings to mine (even the CREATE AS: Floating!)
Now, press CTRL x then CTRL L (cut and paste as a new layer) it should be in the middle of the page now. After that, go to selections>select all
The whole page should be selected. Now go to selections>float
Now only the text should be selected. After that, go to selections>load/save selection>save selection to disk
Give your selection a name and then press SAVE.
now go to selections>select none.
the selection should be gone.
after that make a new raster layer
go to selections>load/save selection>load selection from disk
After that, find your selection from the drop down menu, and then press LOAD
Now there should be a marquee around your text. on the 2nd raster layer, fill your text with a lighter color. ill be using the color #6DCAFF
After that, move the text slightly over to the left. Now press DELETE so some of the text inside the slection is deleted.
Now, move the remaining parts back into the selection
So now you have a weird looking blue outlining the inside of the text. go to adjust>blur>guassian blur
Set the blur to 2 and press okay.
Go to selections>select none
now, make another new raster layer
go to your BACKGROUND layer, and fill it with a dark grey color
After you have the grey background added, go back to your 3rd raster layer and then go to selections>load/save selection>load selection from disk again and then choose your selection that you made earlier
the selection should be there again. now you have to fill the text in again, but this time with the color white.
now, move the white over to the right this time.
After that, press DELETE and the outlining inside the selection should be gone. move the white outline back into the selection
Go to adjust>blur>guassian blur
Set the blur to 2 and press okay.
Go back to selections>select none.
